I am a self-taught multidisciplinary artist focused on California Realism.

My paintings and assemblages have shown at several California museums and galleries, including the Sausalito Center for the Arts, De Young Museum, Triton Museum of Art, and the Museum of Northern California Art.

I am a painter of the everyday, fueled by thirty-five years of experimentation with materials ranging from stone to salvaged glass. Today, my work focuses on the intersection of emotion, light, and the California landscape.

My methodology is one of high-volume discovery. I collect thousands of 'blind' photographs taken from moving cars, then distill those fragments into focused compositions.

By maintaining a rotation of 30 to 40 active paintings, I allow each piece to develop its own emotional weight over weeks and months of labor. I don’t just paint street scenes or still-lifes; I document the moments I’ve fallen in love with, recreating them with a level of detail that demands the viewer stop and look as closely as I have.
